Christian Santelices: Chief Guide & Founder

A professional mountain guide and climbing instructor since 1989. Christian's diverse guiding background includes mountaineering and skiing throughout North and South America, Europe and Africa, and sea kayaking in Patagonia and Fiji. Christian is a certified American Mountain Guides Association alpine, rock climbing and ski-mountaineering guide, and is also certified by the International Federation of Mountain Guides Association. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from the University of California Berkeley and a Master of Arts in Environment and Community from Antioch University Seattle. He is currently the Co-Chief Guide of Exum Mountain Guides, America's oldest and most experienced guide service.

Christian lives with his wife Sue, daughter Mariela and son Nicolai in Teton Valley, Idaho.
