At the southern tip of South America lies the region of Patagonia. Encompassing both Chile and Argentina, Patagonia is a land of beauty and contrast. High Andean peaks, temperate forests, massive glaciers, desert-like steppe. It is also home to some of the hardiest folks on the planet.

Patagonia is our specialty. Christian and Sue have been traveling and working in Chilean and Argentine Patagonia since 1993 and call Estancia Rio Verde, Christian’s family’s working sheep and cattle ranch, their second home. All of our trips to Torres del Paine National Park make the estancia our base of operations, providing guests with a unique perspective on Chilean ranch culture in a stunningly beautiful setting on the Straights of Magellan.
