As a Naval Officer in charge of winning wars, deterring aggression, and maintaining the freedom of the seas, it’s imperative that you have a wide variety of skills to inspire others. Setting common goals, building effective teams, determining a route, and overcoming adversity are all essential components of both successful military operations and mountaineering expeditions.
In addition to the technical and decision-making skills necessary for the group to safely meet an objective, the best mountain guides are also great teachers, motivators, and community-builders. They are assertive, creative, compassionate, and conscientious.
Our Guides are all professional mountain guides with extensive experience in the mountains and deserts around the world. They bring to Aerial Boundaries their expertise from over twenty years each working as guides for organizations such as the National Outdoor Leadership School (NOLS), Alpine Ascents International, Exum Mountain Guides, Valdez Heli Ski Guides, and the American Avalanche Institute. They are also professional fun-hogs.
With Aerial Boundaries Mountain Guides Naval Academy Leadership Expeditions (NALE) you will gain practical experience making decisions that take into consideration the security of the group, the overall objective, and how each individual can meet their full potential (as well as solid technical climbing, canyoneering, and survival skills). We also firmly believe in the “power of play” and it’s a top priority that you have a really good time with some of the nation’s top mountain guides.

Each trip we work with a local organization to implement a project that benefits the local community. Projects that we have done in the past range from trail building to developing strategic plans for environmental and social organizations. We have even helped to design a regional recycling program in Patagonia. These projects are designed to:
Further develop leadership skills
